AP Stylebook is offering Asian American Journalists Association members a discount on AP Stylebook Online subscriptions.

AP Stylebook Online takes everything you love about the print Stylebook and adds internet functionality and online-only content to make it a more robust, convenient tool.

As AP updates its style throughout the year, users can get email updates and check the new entries and recent changes section online.

You can create your own custom listings and add your own notes on AP's entries.

Subscribers can submit questions via Ask the Editor and search thousands of previously answered questions in the archive. Ask the Editor has more listings than the Stylebook itself.

Pronouncers include phonetic spellings of hundreds of words and audio files so you can hear the right way to say names in the news.

The Media Law Guide offers journalists a framework for understanding legal questions commonly encountered in news gathering and publishing.

AAJA members receive a 16.6 percent discount, which gives you 12 months of AP Stylebook Online for the price of 10.

To claim your discount, you will need your AAJA ID. You should have received an email from AAJA with your ID included. You can find your member number any time using your AAJA online account. It is listed at the top left of your member profile.

Go to the secure AP Stylebook order form and choose "AAJA Member" as the customer type on the right side of the form. Enter your AAJA member ID, when prompted.

Once you enter your AAJA ID, you should see a 16.6 percent off your AP Stylebook Online individual subscription. This discount will apply whether you are a new or renewing member, and will apply on top of your member discount, if you work for a news organization that is a member of AP's news cooperative.

You are eligible to buy one Stylebook Online individual subscription per year with your AAJA discount. We will verify your order after you submit it to ensure you are a member, so you might experience a slight delay before receiving your activation email.

If you have questions about how to place your order, we have an online help center, and if that doesn’t answer your question, we offer 24/7 customer support by phone and email.
